I grew up in Kansas.
Kansas is affectionately known as “flyover country”. Translation: “There’s nothing there”. While this may not be entirely accurate, I can tell you that Kansas lacks in anything more than a couple of hundred years old.
Food. Can you name a food that Kansas is known for? Me neither. Except for barbeque - which is the best anywhere in the world, in my non-biased opinion. But that’s about it. Nothing else there compares to what you can find in France.
Medieval towns. Check. Roman ruins. Check. Baguettes. Check. Cheese. Check. Wine. Check.
Plus with high-speed trains and cheap flights it’s all so easy to see.
After 5 years of living in France, I don't care that I’m not in Kansas anymore.
Before moving to France 5-years ago I had taken numerous trips to France - and Europe. From these travel experiences I learned that one of my favorite things to do is to plan travel. Through my travels I have gained valuable knowledge that I hope to share with you.
I like travel planning so much that I spend my spare time contributing to France travel forums. I do this because I like helping people and because I also learn new things and keep up to date on my favorite travel destination - France!
On the forums I see a lot of people making rookie traveler mistakes. Such as, booking a round-trip airfare without having thought through their whole trip and not knowing that there may be better options available - that can save time, money and stress.
Or, paying too much for train tickets by waiting until the last minute to book. Or buying a rail pass without understanding all of the terms and conditions. Choosing too many stops on a multi-city trip so that they will end up needing a vacation after their vacation.
Or booking one of the many “City Passes” that can often cost more than the sum of their parts, or contain so many parts it would be humanly impossible to do everything in the permitted time.
Any of this sound familiar to you?
I can save you time and money and help you avoid making these rookie travel mistakes, while helping you put all of the puzzle pieces together for your trip.
Perhaps you enjoy planning travel too, but are not sure where to start. I can assist with this too.
Keep in mind that I am not a travel agent. You will be responsible for making your own bookings - but I will give you all the information you need to handle this confidently on your own.
And while I do specialize in France, I can often assist with other areas of Europe.
