Spring Arrives in Paris
April truly is one of the most beautiful months in Paris. Thanks to daylight savings time it doesn’t get dark until almost 9:00 p.m. and the sky often turns pink as the sun sets. This allows more time to enjoy all of the trees and flowers that are in bloom at this time of year.

On sunny days Parisians flock to the parks and fill every sunny cafe terrace. Making up lost time after our short and gray winter days.
My view overlooking Square Gardette
At this time of year I love watching the trees turn green in Square Gardette, strolling through the iconic Luxembourg gardens and the Jardin du Palais Royal - near the Louvre. And seeing the lovely blue lilacs at the Square du Temple in the Marais.

April is also Cherry Blossom time in France. Keep your eyes open and look for the bright pink pom-pom blooms.

And there’s wisteria too. I spotted this wisteria covered fence near Saint-Paul in the Marais.
